RE: SDA data disappears: LF & Jrnl

Do you have OVERLAY & PUTOVR at the format level and don't
have OVRDTA on the input(BOTH) fields

Just a thought from what you're describing

Problem: The user enters data on SDA screen, hits Enter; the program is
supposed to
edit the data and update the file when data edit's are all satisfied. It has
been working
for 3.5 months already. However, since we have put on Journaling and LFs (only
2) on
this PF, there have been increasing incidences of the
Following: The user types data onscreen, hits Enter; screen blanks out and
comes
back up with only the constant text onscreen and no data, no error messages
(which
would be usual for edit checking), and no update to files.
Thoughts: It may take 2-3 tries for the record to update the file (user
re-enters all data)
when this happens. Is there some params I need to change/increase, as if there
is some
contest on updating LF indices and writing the journal record. We do have
multiple
users on these screens.

TIA.
