I can't recommend strongly enough that you start using TCP/IP and get away from Netsoft at all costs. The router _is_ and extra step, especially if it's the one that comes with CA. This also requires that MSDLC be used. TCP/IP doesn't need that at all. The setup is outrageously simple: use the CRTOUTQ command. You can find simple details as <http://www.brooksnet.com> and probably at Pete Hall's site <http://www.inwave.com/~peteh/>. With the JetDirect you must specify one of the 'raw' queues on the card when using CRTOUTQ. Be sure to enter the apostrophes, to preserve lowercase. You also need to specify the IP address of the card. There's also info in the TCP/IP Configuration and Reference in the LPD/LPR section(s). BTW, you don't need to implement TCP/IP across the board to implement this, you can start with this situation and expand as desired.
