I got the best results using the "CSV - Comma Separated Variable" format when transfering data from Excel to AS/400. Another very cool way I have testet is, to write a small Delphi program, that uses two Datasources (one in the Excel file with MS ODBC 2.0 Pack and one on the AS/400 with the CA/400 Win95 ODBC Driver) an the "BatchMove" component. This solution has the advantage, that the tranfer can be done by simply double clicking an icon on the desktop. If you need a source example for this, mail me at dg@bingo.baynet.de !
