A few years ago, there was a programmer's challenge in the UK edition of
Computer Shopper to do exactly this in any computer language. Although I
didn't win, I got a mention in the magazine for being the only entrant
to send in an RPG/III solution, and for having once converted somebody
else's (badly written but working) RPG/II routine to output Norwegian
instead of English. For some reason the challenge organiser didn't seem
to think I had a real job. :-)

Sorry, I don't have the code any more, otherwise I would have shared it.
