     Couldn't you create a view joining the two tables together (if like 
     fields exist??) and then execute an update statement?  Perhaps it is 
     worth trying.

Short answer is no.  However, IBM has big plans in V4R2 or something for this. I
guess same time as RUNSQLSTM allows select clauses.  AS/400 SQL is much more 
advanced than Microsoft SQL which allows such nonsense :-)
