You are absolutely correct.  Tim, this is available in ILE RPG (also referred to
as RPG IV).   Sorry for the mixup.  BTW, you can convert any RPG/400 (also known
as RPG III) to ILE RPG by using the CVTRPGSRC command.  Then you can use
CRTBNDRPG or CRTRPGMOD with CRTPGM to create a genuine ILE RPG program!
