Also, ask about local user groups, COMMON meetings  (you'll want to go),
and other learning opportunities.  In New England we'll have our 2-day
show in March and that has dozens of sessions you'll enjoy.  (Al Barsa,
whom you see on here, is one of the speakers.  Don't take notes - your
pencil isn't long enough.  <bg>)  

Why not ask if you can have a little machine, early, to start practicing
on, for at home (with a dial-up connection from the office) so you can
start the system, have backups, do PTFs, the whole cycle of events.  Do
some hard crashes, recoveries, security setups, etc.  A complete system is
under $10,000 now.
