Roy,

Migration should be simple as long as you have all the source. However,
you should be aware that the B10 and B20 were the original low end
models and are therefore obsolete as well as painfully slow (the B10 in
particular) by today's standards. They will probably perform worse than
your current S/36. I believe Bob Cozzi has a B10 in his garage serving
as a shelf. He'd probably let you have it for nothing to make room for a
newer shelf with better performance.

If disk space is your primary concern you should also check how much of
the total is consumed by the operating system. I remember seeing a
client's brand new B10 with OS/400 pre-loaded and occupying around 70%
of DASD by itself.
