NT isn't an application. It isn't a computer either, but that really is beside the point. Chris, this may be the whole point, imho. MS has an extensive and broad media campaign of pretty smiling happy faces saying "Where do you want to go today?" The attitude projected is one of fun, fast response times, complete user control, unlimited drill-down, drill-up, and import-export. I do agree however that the AS/400 conmmunity has been derelict in providing glitz and magic. Client Access is an example of that, I think. Its cumbersome, slow, and unpredictable. It's hard to install and the PTF battle is unending. Even when its right its boring. Not cut&paste, no un-do, no "find", no meaningful toolbar. Boring, boring. ---------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin --------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
