Migration from SPP to OS/400 on the 436 -- MIDRANGE-L

Hi everybody,

Here is a question a friend asked me:

I currently have a 436 with a 2102 processor and wonder if someone had
undergone a migration on a similar system, and if so, what degradation
was experienced (either in S/36 mode or native). 
As you know, if I had to install a 2106 processor, this would put me in
a P10 pricing scheme. I would just like to know if I'm likely to have
that expense.
