I was talking with a "Partner in Development" the other day, and he mentioned that the Network Stations would only run through an NT server. wow! that blows my mind. Sure he wasn't thinking of NetPCs? The question wasn't asked, nor answered that I remember. But the speaker mentioned his inventory of equipment for the show. He had an AS/400 model 150, a thinkpad, an NC unit, an ethernet card, an ethernet hub, and a token ring card. The thinkpad was on the token ring, the NC was on the ethernet. On the NC he had: 5250, IBM's small browser (spyglass), Netscape's small browser (Navio), and one other application which I have forgotten. The regular 5250 green screen was mouseable - that was eerie to me. The meeting was about Lotus and Domino, so little time was spent on the NC machine. However I did have the distinct feeling that NT was available but these people didn't use it, or even like talking about it. In short, Dean, I really can only say... I don't know. ---------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin --------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
