IBM cares, but they are in cheap mode at the moment. This will probably change, or else the AS/400 division will cease to exist. If they screw it up (in the past, they have been trying), it doesn't matter. All of us will have AS/400 work until we retire. Perhaps we can suggest share-ware resume software for the IBMers. I think COMMON last week helped, but we will see.
