I know there is no MI in >the ILE world, but is there a text representation of the p-code, or >something MI-like that we can see? My guess is it would be on the CRTxxxMOD >step, not the CRTPGM step, but I can make an argument either way. AFAIK, there's no longer an intermediate representation available. Here's a short list of the settings for the OPTION parameter on CRTRPGMOD, following: Compiler options (OPTION) *XREF/*NOXREF Whether to produce a cross-reference listing. *GEN/*NOGEN Whether to create a module object. *SECLVL/*NOSECLVL Whether to print second-level message text. *SHOWCPY/*NOSHOWCPY Whether to show /COPY source records. *EXPDDS/*NOEXPDDS Whether to expand external file descriptions. *EXT/*NOEXT Whether to show referenced external procedures and fields. *SHOWSKP/*NOSHOWSKP Whether to show all statements, regardless of being skipped as a result of /IF, /ELSEIF or /ELSE directives. *EVENTF/*NOEVENTF Whether to create an Event File for use by CoOperative Development Environment/400 (CODE/400). BTW, can you say more about "there is no MI in the ILE world"? I believe VLIC is SLIC on RISC boxes, but MI is still around, AFAIK. But ILE is on both CISC & RISC. What am I missing?
