ummmm.... errrr.... I just did TIME into an LDATE field. I am not near a
AS/400 so I can't check again but I'd have bet up to a dime that it worked
ok.  I know I saw the correct output.  

Now you got me muttering to myself.   What the heck, where's the Champion
for LDATEs, Carr.  He's the one that just talked me into using LDATE
again.   Now your saying TIME doesn't work?  damn. damn. damn.
