Could you imagine registering 4000 people before the sessions on Monday. So I understand why they want to promote Day 0 registrations. You do have a good point, in that almost every show, event, conference that has an Expo, you are always allowed to go infor free on the first day. Now, this would only benefit the people in the local city, as I would not travel from CT, nor your from DC to attend a free expo for one day. Even when you have the conference in a place like Chicago (which has the highest number of AS/400s in its geography) how many people are really going to show up? From an exhibitors perspective, I really want to insure that everyone who comes thru the halls is an AS/400 person. We see a lot of spouses coming through, taking literature and the hand-outs. You would be surprised if you knew how much it costs for all the "stuff" we hand out.
