Hi Chris. I did have some trouble last year with printing and displaying different national characters, with a multi-language application running in a single AS/400. For example, if your running TCP/IP apps Telnet and LPR, you can no longer determine what character id to use from your display and printer device. In my experience, the best rule of thumb to avoid trouble is: in your PRTF and DSPF match the correct CHRID with each country (for Sweden that's 278 697 if my memory doesn't fail me), with PF use the CCSID *HEX or 65535. You do have CCSID on DSPF as well, but I don't recall if you need to manipulate them. /Ulf +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
