>Your "6 x" speed increase you mention for WinAPPC is no doubt based on >the old IBM Twinax cards for comparison. I presume you don't yet have >any comparisons to the new IBM 5250 Express twinax cards, which IBM >themselves claim to be 4 x faster (provided you have the newer 6050 >series twinax controllers that can handle extended 5250 data stream, and >the appropriate PTF's. And...when the dust settles on this newfangled contraption that can't even be utilized on today's hardware will Synapse just sit back or will they leap frog ole IBM again like they have done in the past? I think they deserve some credit for being here now with solid products that work smooth and fast, free tech support, and free updates. Also, what about all the AS400's who want the speed increase now and who have pentiums with W95 that are biting the dust with lockups? They have to dump their AS400's to advance. Not likely, they will probably go LAN attach not twinax. Doesn't Bob Cozzi say that the new board doesn't quite do the trick in his Aptiva? Is there still an issue or two to resolve (bring on the PTF's).
