This could be creating a monster, but here goes: Someone (phcoffin or dr2, are you there?) mentioned that we chat (IRC) from the 400. It requires an account on a box, usually Unix-type, where you can run apps like lynx (text-based Web browser, very fast) or, in this case, irc (or whatever it's called). My ISP provides such a service (lynx anyway, haven't tried irc). Or use telnet (native on 400) to such a session (If you can do this, you'll probably know some of this already.) Of course, it'll have a command-line interface, but it's a way for 'us Green Screeners' to try it out. Maybe someone can expand on this further; otherwise, I can go find a man page (that's Unix for help text, sort of) on the subject, with pertinent commands, etc. Cheers Vernon Hamberg Systems Software Programmer Old Republic National Title Insurance Company 400 Second Avenue South Minneapolis, MN 55401 (612) 371-1111 x480 +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to "MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com". | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAJORDOMO@midrange.com | and specify 'unsubscribe MIDRANGE-L' in the body of your message. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
