I recommend using FTP, if it's available. It is part of the AS/400
operating system. I don't know if it's a part of ssp 7.0, however.

On a plain AS/400, you have to install TCP/IP. It's free but not
automatically installed. It's 57xx-TC1, 'TCP/IP Connectivity Utilities for
AS/400'. So GO LICPGM and install it , if you haven't already.
