Actually, I was refering to the past 20 years of ignoring th problem 
of Y2K - I first ran into date problems in 1975...

Code I refer to was generated both by ASSET & SYNON (albeit a year or 
two ago...)

Obviously, none of us would prefer that the machine 'guess" what we 
wanted (although, I had a boss who required me to do just that in 
BPCS regarding which inventory locations inventory had been taken 
from for shop orders....)

But there is no reason that the machine cannot return a list of 
possible choices, based upon standard text error processing (i.e. 
transpositions, shifts, WRK when you meant DSP & the like....)
