Not in DDS, that I know of. But, for an off-the-wall alternative, try using
SQL to create a view:

create view <viewname> as select * from <file1> join <file2> on
<file1.key1=file2.key2,etc.>

The above is v3r2/7 syntax--earlier uses a 'where' clause for the join.
Duplicate column names will get modified somewhat. Also, no index allowed.

If you don't have the licensed product, you can still do this with Query
Management queries (CRTQMQRY, STRQMQRY, etc.). Query Management is native,
and there's a manual in the Softcopy library. Also, GO CMDQMQRY or GO
CMDQRY should help.
