Each disk held 2.45 MB (that's 2,450,000 folks). You could optionally get a second fixed disk called F2 and a second removable disk called R2 for a total of 9.8MB. I still remember the day our 5445 disks walked in the door. They were 10 plater 10MB disk drives. We sat around wondering how you would EVER use an additional 20MB of disk on D1 an D2.
