I have also encountered major problems with OEM disk. After their system engineer installed these drives, we had to do a complete system reload. Their CE's didn't even bring the system back up to check if their drives were OK. After they were up, my customer experienced occasional damaged objects, turns out that they had a bug in their code using RAID-5, after much negotiation, they sent us enough drives to turn on mirroring which eliminated the damaged object problem. Needless to say, I don't recommend OEM drives.
