Al, >> Does anyone know of a good conversion tool from RPG to VB? If yes, what >>versions of each are supported and how can I contact the vendor? TIA. >I except IBM to make tools available to hook JAVA applets into RPG within a >release or two. Why mess with VB??? 1) I need it *now* 2) This is a stand alone PC application that was developed on the /36. I'm looking for an easy way to get it up and running, then make it pretty (and/or truly event driven). The product I have been working w/ on the PC side is CSPI's B/36, but I'm not sure I want to go that way in a Win environment. Also, their product currently does not use the event driven model. There are potentially 20-30 mini-applications that I would like to do this to, each having 3-10 screens and a pretty complex printout. ASNA's product is geared more toward existing /400 code. /36 code will require a lot more work. They don't seem to have much in the way of conversion tools to get the process moving along. I don't have much info regarding IBM's VA product, but I'm assuming that I will run into similar drawbacks as ASNA's. Any advice, suggestions or info would be appreciated. -mark * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is the Midrange System Mailing List!
