Additionally, some files lend themselves to a natural unique key, for example Employee I.D. number seems like a natural key for the employee master file and seems an obvious place for a uniquely keyed Physical. On the other hand an Accounts Payable detail file has no obvious unique key nor does it need one. In the second instance a keyed Physical is just trouble waiting to happen. in my 'umble opinion.
