We have a 510 with 512 megs of memory and 50 gigs of dasd. We have something like 14 Synon developers (hard to keep track of the new guys!) The 510 gets very bogged down if you let multiple gens run simultaneously. Ditto for multiple compiles. Moral: try to keep these busy folks from jumping job queues! Synon has a large amount of overhead, both in memory and dasd. The RISC box is much faster than the CISC box was.
