Karen,

I have a suggestion and it will work, but I don't think you or your users
would like it.   

When your batch job starts, just rename the library(RNMOBJ) and in the 
morning rename it back if every thing is alright.

Its simple and effective.  I just hope your app's are ready for OBJECT NOT
FOUND errors.
