It is not. I have one of the bigges AS/400 in europe and we doesen't 
have enough time to IPL the system every week.

watch the number of of % adresses used in to wrksyssts screen. If the 
adresses are low the system doesen't need a reboot, if the adresses are 
over the 50% boundary and IPL will help to speedup the system.
