Fellow-midrangers, I'm working in a European headquarter and I'm responsible for the technical side of AS/400. We have one central warehouse from where everything is shipped to each country. The intent is that each branch in Europe places the orders for their clients interactively on our system. Our people then prepare a shipment and send it directly to the individual customers. The product names and constant data will be in plain English. The delivery addresses however must be in the customers language ( French, German, Danish, ...) and should be maintained in a central database. This of course should give me the possibility not only to use the English, but also the customers character set at the same time. Another thing is printing the delivery notes. Currently w're using XEROX-4517 printers. The SE from Xerox didn't had a direct solution for this one and to investigate it. BTW, I don't know the model yet, but it will be a RISC with V3R6. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA Chris * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is the Midrange System Mailing List!
