If you do a WRKOBJ on the user profile, it will tell you what user created the progfile and what system it was created on. If the created by user is '*IBM' and the system created on is '00000000', it's a good bet it was created by IBM. Other 'Q' profiles may have been created by other IBM packages such as PM400 (profile QPM400), or The Security Tool Kit (QSECUSR), but you should scrutinize them carefully. Another good way to investigate a profile is to look at the objects that it owns. Are they IBM objects in a product library, or do they live in a programmer lib or one of the purchased package libs?
