I recommend that you upgrade your Windows to Windows for Workgroups so you
can get the MS DLC protocols that replace the DX.. drivers.  You will still
have to hack the system to get coexistance but windows can see the MSDLC
which comes with WFW.  The hack is something and it is best to get a look at
someones config files.  I have samples but it is relative to which lan
adapter you are using.  I also have step by step instructions for the hack.  

For what its worth, consider dropping CA/400 as too much hassle and go with
something else that works better.
