Booth,

You have too much credibility on midrange-l to make a fool of yourself, here.

On the otherhand, subsetting the records in RPG will take a long time.

Try using ANYTHING else in the system.  My first choice would be OPNQRYF,
however you could be a logical with select/omit, or SQL.  Nevertheless, the
system query function will do a better job subsetting the records.
