I had a similar problem 2 months ago on a V3R1 system.  I can't recall the
message id, so it might be different than what you're seeing.  I IPL'd the
system and the problem went away.  Never reoccurred, so I didn't spend any
more time trying to figure out what happened.  Worth a shot - IPL's clean up
lots of sins...
