How do you know that the estimates are overblown until the project is
finished?  The norm in the industry is that all project estimates are low,
no matter how high they seem at the beginning.....

Which reminds me, the Microsoft books "CODE Complete", "Writing Solid Code"
& "Rapid Development" are excellent texts for development & coding
processes  They're written for C coders, but  the principles are applicable
and they're very well written.  I expect that they are relatively unknown
in the RPG shops....
