  • Subject: !OS/2, Client Access, Novell 4.1 and the AS/400

Hello All,

We have a number of OS/2 PC's that run a software package used by our
R&D group that runs in an OS/2 full screen (is that the correct
terminology ?). We also run Client Access for OS/2 with PC5250 and
attach to the AS/400 via frame relay and a WAN. These PC's also attach
to a Novell 4.1 server. They are also running MS Office and MS Mail.

Our problems:

1) On some, but NOT all, and not all of the time, we get a REQ 0815
error.

2) On some, but NOT all, and not all of the time, when they go into
Windows (Word, Excel, etc) or E-mail, it starts dumping TONS of garbage
print jobs without the user telling anything to print - just STARTING
these applications.

We use a "default configuration" so ALL PC's are configured the SAME way
with the same software (from the LAN, dft cfgs for Windows and OS/2) so
we are REALLY baffled by this.

Additionally, does any have any trouble getting OS/2 support from IBM ?

SORRY for all of the questions, but we are getting our BUTTS chewed f9or
not getting this solved... ;-)

Thanks !
