The Create Collection also creates journals and journal receivers so 
that tables that are subsequently created can be journaled.  Other 
than this additional stuff, both methods are creating a library.  If 
you want the ability to do Commit and Rollbacks via your ODBC 
application then the Create Collection is advantageous because it will 
take care of the journalling for you.  As far as reading your tables, 
either method should work.

Hi !

Can anyone please tell me what is the difference between
creating library with CRTLIB or with CREATE COLLECTION in
SQL?  I know that CREATE COLLECTION creates also system
tables like SYSCOLUMNS etc. into library. I'm using that
library only for data tables and accessing those tables
with ODBC.

Is there something that I can do in one but not in
antoher ???
