---------- From: Carl Galgano[SMTP:cgalgano@ediconsulting.com] Sent: Friday, May 23, 1997 8:15 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: TN5250 clients Need some other opinions. We use IBMs Personal Communications 4.1 for TN5250 emulation. I am working with a client that will be designing a new TCP/IP network and is looking fora recomendation on good TN5250 emulation software (about 100 licences). like PCOM, the VAR is recommending CA/400 (I would rather not),............. We use the CA/400 solution over tcp/ip and it seems to work very well for us. We already had unlimited licensing for CA/400 and I was very glad when the got it working over native tcp/ip instead of having to use anynet. Before the CA/400 solution was available, we used NetManage's product called SWIFT. It has since been repackaged and they call it something else now. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This is the Midrange System Mailing List!
