Not always.  If observability has been removed from the program, then it
won't convert to RISC without a 
recompile, because the program template is  gone..  If observability hasn't
been removed, it should convert fine.  Most folks don't remove
observability in house, some do (it saves some space), so home grown stuff
usually goes over without a hitch.  With third party programs, it's more
common for the observability to have been removed.
