I have an opening in for an AS/400 Programmer in Iowa. I know the IT Manager very well and she told me that this is a great company to work for. Generous benefits, very stable company and growing by leaps and bounds. They have a very good management team that she has every confidence in. She really didn't have anything negative to say about this company. They recently added on to their building as they were busting at the seams in trying to keep up with orders. That's a great problem to have. They keep having record years so right now, this company is just booming and she doesn't see an end in sight. They have markets they haven't even touched yet and just keep improving on their product and keep coming up with new products all the time.
They currently have a need for an additional Programmer because they have a large backlog of projects. They are looking for an experienced RPG programmer who can step right in and help with the backlog as soon as possible. Ideally, they want to find a person who also has Mapics XA experience as that is their ERP software.
This company has an ESOP which the current IT Manager described as mind-blowing. For me, she couldn't go into details, but she did say that retirement is in the bank with their ESOP plan. At least it has been that way for all the years she has worked here. (12 years). Nobody knows what the future holds but based on the past, it's bright. There is a percentage of salary that gets put into the ESOP retirement each year plus company profits. They like to say 20% average of your salary, but it's been way above that for a number of years. They also offer a 401k.
