I have a growing BPCS-using client which has been acquiring other
companies in recent years, and they have a permanent need for a BPCS EDI
Programmer/Analyst for their facility between Atlanta and Lake Lanier.
A Programmer/Analyst transforms user requirements for system
modifications and enhancements into designs supported by
analysis.Coordinates and actively participates in all stages of project
development (including research, design, project lead, programming,
testing, and implementation).Testing and documentation are integral
elements of this position through customer acceptance of any significant
change to the business operating system.The position is also expected to
support additional development platforms such as PHP, CSS, HTML,
etc.Strong programming knowledge in RPG and PHP/Web languages, and
knowledge of BPCS.Provides EDI support to the EDI Manager in the
administration, processing, and program enhancements for the company's
trading partners (GIS EDI software).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
·Perform design and analyses to support significant modifications to the
business operating system.
·Support the Data Digital Server programs for any modifications (PHP, CSS)
·Perform programming, testing, documentation, and acceptance testing of
software modifications.
·Maintain existing applications
·Work with users regarding system application and use.
·Provide trouble-shooting and problem-solving services to end-users.
·Continually improve both technical and management skills through
courseware and mastery of additional languages appropriate to the
environment.
