IBM i /AS400 Admin IT Support Technician, Birmingham/Hoover Alabama

Hanna Steel Corporation headquartered in Hoover, Alabama has a challenging
career opportunity to join the corporate team to serve as the company’s IT
Support Technician. This position has multi-site responsibility and
reports directly to the VP, Information Systems to help ensure the
candidate’s success.
The candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and
troubleshooting issues with computers, printers, Ethernet switches,
wireless access points, wiring and other related equipment. Candidates
should have experience with Shoretel VoIP telephone systems, IBM Lotus
Domino email, IBM System i/AS400 operations, HP and 3com switches, TCP/IP
routing, DHCP and DNS.
The successful candidate will possess excellent problem solving and
research abilities which will be employed internally and externally to
resolve network, hardware and software problems. The candidate will also
provide end user training on computer and telephone systems thereby
employing not only technical expertise but a strong degree of patience.
