subject: [MIDRANGE-JOBS] Notes for the MIDRANGE-JOBS mailing list
Some special notes about the MIDRANGE-JOBS mailing list ...
1. This list, unlike all other lists hosted by MIDRANGE.COM, is *NOT*
set so that replies automaticly go back to the mailing list address.
If you want to reply to the LIST, make sure you double check the
TO address on your reply message. Often you can simply do a
REPLY-ALL to get the list address included.
2. Recruiters: Please keep in mind that this list is global in scope.
When you are posting a job, make sure you specify the city, state,
and country. Also indicate if there are any special citizenship
requirements and if relocation assistance is available. In general
it is suggested that you format the job posting as if it were going
into a international job magazine.
3. Job seekers: Please post your resume in plaintext format, not
word processing documents. Any file attachments will automaticly
be removed from the message so your message will not contain the
guts of what you wanted to say.
4. Consulting firms: You are welcome to recruit staff in this forum,
but not clients.
5. Everyone: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pay attention to who you are
responding to and the context of the message. I can't count the
number of times I have responded to someones post in the list providing
some information, and subsequently received a contact from a job seeker
or recruiter who was interested in something further down in the body
of the message.
If you have any questions about these items, or the list in general,
feel free to contact the list administrator, David Gibbs, at
support@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
