Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Summary
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This position provides technical support to the company in the delivery of various IT programs, policies and procedures to all employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Working in a lead role, providing the technical requirement documents for development/implementation of Infor XA (MAPICS) processes.
-Develop new iSeries Power Link based applications and modify existing in-house applications as required when lack of resources are determined.
-Document and troubleshoot Power link and XA issues either interviewing the user personally or phone interviews.
-Interface with Infor to help solve user problems in a timely manner.
-Perform and maintain integration of iSeries based applications with server/client based applications, while in conjunction with other IT personnel.
-Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to the Help Desk Technical Support Team for iSeries & XA application related issues & training
-Provide support for data transfers from iSeries to client machines.
-Assist in the development of in-house application documentation and end user training materials.
-Participate in end-user training.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) desired

Tools, Technology and Equipment
-Have a minimum of five years iSeries (AS/400).
-Have very strong experience with Infor modules (MAPICS) 10 to 15+ years desired. iSeries application structure or 10+ years experience with other OS400 based ERP applications.
-XA (MAPICS) version 7 or higher preferable but not mandatory.
-Have experience specifically with the XA Browser applications with special consideration of Views, Subsets, printing, and Workbenches.
-Need to have a high level of skill with XA applications. IFM experience is desired.
-Need a working knowledge of XA database files.
-Need an understanding of how logical files and indexes work in an XA environment.
-Have a good understanding of the IBM iSeries computer system operation and utilities for technical support issues.
-Have a good working knowledge of iSeries client connectivity methods.
-Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Language Skills
Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem resolution experience. Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write general correspondence and detailed technical documentation. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

-XA Integrator Experience (PLMC, ATM)
