* Due to expert RPG and System21 knowledge was parachuted in to realign
and resolve issues relating to a business critical, behind schedule
conversion from System21 to an in house application. Legacy RPGIII
code, primary files, level indicators and full use of the RPG cycle
were some of the challenges faced in the conversion to RPGIV.
* Worked autonomously from a home office to complete the project under
the direction of the Chicago-based I.T. department.
* Helped realign the floundering project from the Chicago I.T.
department, converting the programs and performing parallel testing on
modifications prior to end-user testing and post implementation
support.
* Successfully returned project back in line and completed on schedule
and according to demanding mandate.
* Recruited as part of a 28-person project team tasked with designing
and writing a highly customized PRMS warehouse and distribution
software solution, required as a result of a business expansion.
* Interacted between multiple internal and external I.T. and management
stakeholders to define the software solution to meet the business
needs.
* Designed, wrote, customized and tested the PRMS warehousing and
distribution software at two locations: Markham, Ontario and Dallas,
Texas.

interface with DB2/400 and Microsoft SQL Server databases in batch and

* Facilitated end-user training and testing at both locations coupled
with a successful seamless implementation.
Kohl and Frisch, Vaughan, Ontario 2003 - 2007
SENIOR PROGRAMMER /ANALYST 1 year CONSULTANT 3 years
* Designed and developed dynamic intranet pages using HTML, CSS,
Javascript and CGI scripting to eliminate the manual process of
monitoring the incoming order pool. This reduced the potential for
human error and reduced man hours be 70%.
* Challenged to design, build and implement an Automated Customer
Returns System to streamline, optimize, expedite, track and log a
large volume of returned, over the counter and prescription drugs.
* Reviewed the existing manual system and created an intranet
application to track work time spent by IT resources on various
department projects. This lead to the design and development of a
project management and time tracking system which instantly provided
senior management with real time reports.
* Completed project according to mandate, providing external customers
with the ability to view shipping returns status while producing
significant cost savings to Kohl and Frisch.

* Contracted to design and deploy a product quality system to accurately
measure the attributes of manufactured goods.
* Analyzed customer needs, devised and developed an AS/400 based product
quality system which seamlessly interfaced in real time with data
stemming from the manufacturing process.
* Utilized RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, Java, JDBC and data queues to access remote
data and files. Introduced dynamic display and reporting providing
adhoc presentation of the results from the manufacturing process.
* Upgraded system afforded Cascades a significant competitive advantage,
boosted customer service, reduced costs and streamlined order
processing. Accurate and comprehensive documentation was provided to
customers detailing the manufacturing process.

* Operated remotely from Canada tasked with modifying existing web site
for English and Spanish visitors to strengthen the company's position
in the U.S. and Canadian markets.
* Analyzed existing web presence, applications and functionality.
Provided corporate management with various configurations, redesigns
and data on copy to enhance web sites effectiveness, driving visitors
and profitability.
* Made modifications using Dreamweaver, CSS and Javascript highlighting
the corporate message, allowing accurate information on the 70 sku
electrical component and conductor product catalogue.
* Translated web copy in Spanish which radically boosted the
Mexican-based presence in the emerging English market, widening the

* Appointed as a Programmer/Analyst charged with designing and
developing a vendor management inventory system to optimize the sales
and inventory processes.
* Examined existing applications, designed a web-based manufacturing
Roll Schedule on AS/400 using RPG, CGI and SQL providing instant
access to staff located across the administration of manufacturing
facility.
* Developed an interface program to transfer data between different
geographically disparate locations and the remote Oracle database and
local AS/400.
* Gained a thorough knowledge of Java and JDBC coupled with existing
application knowledge to deliver the major upgrade to Courtice Steel,
which enabled them to optimize internal processes and remain a leader
in a mature and saturated steel sector.
Grand & Toy, Toronto, Ontario September - December 2000
CONSULTANT
* Hired to act as a Programmer/Analyst assigned to develop and implement
a business critical courier, LTL and full Freight Rating System to
meet the existing software vendors HFA standards for use by customer
services and with the emerging e-commerce applications.
* Appraised existing processes, created programs to extract a high
volume of daily carrier order information, populating CSV files which
were automatically emailed to designated carriers.
* Final application allowed external access from the customer service
teams and web-based applications.
