Position Description #3615 Information Technology Manager Company Overview Company Volume: $43M Products High End Cabinet Doors Location: Morgan Hill, CA Territory: Morgan Hill, Salinas, & Gilroy Position Summary The Information Technology Manager is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and budgeting all data processing activities, including systems analysis, programming, computer systems and operations. Assesses, analyzes, and plans for current and future needs of users. Researches and recommends technology purchases to meet company needs. Specific Responsibilities: * Establishes and manages Information Technology operations. Develops, reviews, approves and implements department work plans, services, policies, procedures, and reports. * Participates in meetings and provides technical assistance and interpretation to Executive Staff on issues affecting company-wide computer hardware, software, and communications needs. * Oversees computer operations and technical services, as well as the development of the Information Technology infrastructure including database administration and security. * Directs and participates in the analysis and design of new work processes for integrated information technology systems. Directs the internal development of software applications or selection of vendor products. Manages the implementation of new applications. * Performs systems administration functions for the company's multiple servers, including administering system-level security procedures. Establishes and maintains user accounts. Assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies. * Installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment. Reviews performance logs and monitors system performance. * Troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software and communications problems. Performs configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity. Performs automated and manual backup-and-restore processes. * Requires continual emergency on-call status involving information systems and data communications systems. Skills Summary: * Ability to successfully develop, implement and manage the operations and budget of the IT department. * Ability to configure, manage and troubleshoot MRP Systems in an AS/400 Environment. Friedman Frontier Experience a Major Plus. * 5+ years experience or equivalent is required in performing hardware support, research, and implementation. * Formal training and/or experience in hardware maintenance and troubleshooting, configuring PCs, connecting serial printers, terminals, workstations, wiring LAN networks, or any other work as it relates to this position. Microsoft Certification or equivalent level of experience with computer technology. * Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field is required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience equipping the incumbent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions. * Excellent project planning and management skills. * Ability to produce high quality results by productively developing, managing and participating on a team.
