LeTourneau Technologies, Inc is looking to fill the following position
at its Longview, Texas location. Longview, located 2 hours east of
Dallas in the beautiful "Piney Woods" area of east Texas, supports a
quality of lifestyle that is hard to beat.


IT Applications Manager 

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design,
development, and implementation of organizational information systems
and software applications. The Application Manager is also responsible
for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and
applications. This individual will apply proven communication skills,
problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide the
development team on issues related to the design, development, and
deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. 

Other responsibilities include: 

- Consult with Business Departments in determining systems scope,
objectives, and personnel needed to accomplish the project or request.
- Maintaining SOX compliance in areas of responsibility.
- Selecting vendors and products that provide a high degree of quality
while demonstrating proper value for LeTourneau. 
- Working with Operations & Infrastructure managers to maintain,
explore, and improve technology used within the organization. 
- Work with vendors and consultants on application projects.
- Work closely with the IT Management Team to ensure maximum end user
satisfaction. 
- Improving business processes and support critical business strategies
by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business
applications systems. 
- Formulate business systems architecture plans, estimates costs, and
ensure that projects meet strategic needs. 
- Lead multiple projects and oversee developers and DBA to ensure that
specifications are met. 
- Provide technical support to project team members. 
- Handle complex application features and technical designs. 
- Researches, reports and corrects any quality assurance issues. 

Current environment includes:
- Approximately 1800 business users located at multiple sites in Texas,
Mississippi, Arizona, Oregon, and Australia.  New locations will be
added.
- Infor XA applications/modules on iSeries platform.
- Infor XA applications/modules, 3rd party applications, and interfaces
on Windows/Intel platform.
- Microsoft technologies (Windows, Office, SharePoint, InfoPath. IIS) 

Requirements:
- Four year degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Ten or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a
minimum of six years experience application program development, or the
equivalent in education and work experience.
- Understanding of ERP applications and business processes.
- Infor XA (MAPICS), ,iSeries (AS400), and RPG development experience
preferred. 
- Compliance and reporting with SOX and other related financial and IT
controls a plus
- Must provide a very high degree of customer service and
professionalism within a team environment. 
- Follows proper development and implementation standards and procedures
as defined by the IT Management team.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on, roll-up your sleeves attitude.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management.
- High energy and strong work ethic approach.
