Immediate Opening for an IBM System Engineer

Aktion Associates, a leading IT consulting firm in the Midwest, is seeking 
a full-time iSeries Technical Specialist with systems engineering and 
consulting experience for its Columbus, OH office. Responsibilities 
include performing systems architecture and configurations for companies 
of all sizes and industries. Extensive knowledge of IBM hardware Systems I 
required with possible System P and X a plus.  Specialist will also be 
involved in post sales installation and upgrade support including on going 
customer support.  .  Specialist will also be involved in post sales 
installation and upgrade support including on going customer support for 
issues, new releases, PTF installation, performance monitoring, etc. 
Successful candidate will be skilled in LPAR configuration and 
implementation, i5 Boot from SAN, HMC installation and set up, AIX/ 
Linux/WebSphere Application Server and Windows for IXS installation & 
configuration,  TCP/IP network configuration & systems connectivity and 
system security reviews. The successful candidate must have more than 5 
years experience. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, 
deadline-oriented environment working with sales staff in a pre-sales role 
and customers in a post sales role. Desired qualifications include a 
Bachelor?s Degree. Some travel involved.  Aktion offers a competitive
