Responsibilities:

·        Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, 
testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale mainframe computer system. 

·        Analyze, develop and implement system enhancements

·        Evaluate business systems and user needs.

·        Maintain and develop on-line and batch application programs.

·        Work with project members to develop specifications, diagrams and 
flowcharts.

·        Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in area of specialty and 
8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

·        Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and 
procedures. 

·        Demonstrate expertise in a variety of programming concepts, practices, 
and procedures.

·        Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish 
goals. 

·        May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a 
top level contributor/specialist.

·        Perform a variety of tasks. 

·        A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 

·        Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

 

Requirements:

·        RPG programmer/AS400 higher level (8 years experience or more). 

·        Must be able to dig into code for trouble shooting and modifications 
(many times trying to figure out changes made by others).

·        PRMS/ERP experience is a PLUS 

·        Manufacturing/accounting systems knowledge is required.

·        Follow good business practices for change control and documentation. 

·        A good personality is a plus, as there will be direct contact with 
users most of the time.  

·        Must be able to deal with multiple projects (short & long term with 
specified deadlines) and handle unexpected day-to-day issues. 

·        Self motivated and organized in order to plan time based deliverable

·        Self managed preferred.
