We have a fellow here that passed his Java certification test. When given a Java assignment it turned out that he didn't know how to code in Java. He does know how to read and study a book so he can pass the certification tests. He ended up in the same Java classes at IBM that I took. I was following the RPG to Java roadmap list of courses. I have not yet taken the certification test for Java but I can code circles around him. Thomas Bishop Sr. Application Architect Solarcom Holdings, Inc. An interesting thread was started on Slashdot about IT Certifications (http://ask.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/10/06/0337209). I'm curious as to how valuable certifications are in the System i market. david
