Store Systems Project Manager
___________________________________________________________
The Store Systems Project Manager for POS Systems is responsible for the
technical specification, design, implementation and support for all POS
applications. This position will work closely with the Store Operations and
other
business personnel to ensure that IT is providing appropriate store system
solutions that are aligned with and support current and future business
processes.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: .
Responsibility % of Time
Provide problem analysis and recommendation of solutions to 4-wall
30%
Business problems; analysis of hardware and software options and the
Development of business requirements and application designs. Assist
in ROI analyses for projects.
Represent and assist retail management in systems meetings, such as
25%
developing functional requirements for new systems and assisting in
user testing and approvals.
Consult retail management on current technological capabilities
20%
(best practices) and provide troubleshooting solutions for systems
problems.
Application Development and Support: 10%
Assist analysts and programmers with application and program design;
defining testing requirements and success criteria; managing business and
technical issues; and developing and reviewing project documentation.
Responsible for ensuring that existing application systems are fully
functional
And utilized by the retail community.
Application and Data Security 5%
Work with user management to define application access rights and assist with
implementing the rights for Associates using the application. Ensure that all
IT
application development and change management policies and procedures are
monitored and enforced.
Strategic Systems Planning: 5%
Developing strategic systems plans in conjunction with the Senior Management
Of IT.
Expense Management 5%
Planning and managing department capital and expense budgets.
Essential:
College degree in Business/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years Information Technology project management experience.
Minimum of 10 years Application Development experience
Experience in Retail Store Systems
Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with aggressive schedules
Proficient in business application analysis and design
Excellent project management skills
Excellent skills related to application and data security
Proficient in short and long range planning
Excellent problem solver
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Highly organized with attention to detail
Team player.
Desired:
MBA
Experience in Retail applications
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Project
Familiarity with iSeries, Internet and client/server technology
Experience in negotiating with vendors and service providers.
Understanding of the regulatory requirements of Sarbanes Oxley
